Young Lawyers Academy

The ADF Young Lawyers Academy is a distinctive program that blends top-tier legal training with an unwavering commitment to Christian principles. Designed for recent law school graduates and attorneys in their first seven years of practice—including those in large or mid-size firms, and in state or federal government roles—the Academy equips young professionals to jump-start their legal careers with purpose and conviction.

As a participant, you’ll receive valuable resources and opportunities to engage in ADF-related legal issues—all alongside exceptional legal training, worship, and devotions that are central to the Academy experience.

No matter your area of practice, the Academy will prepare you to be an effective advocate for religious freedom, free speech, marriage and family, parental rights, and the sanctity of life. As a participant, you’ll receive 6–8 hours of high-quality CLE designed to deepen your understanding of these vital issues. You’ll gain the tools to strategically integrate your faith with your legal career, and you’ll become part of a supportive network of like-minded attorneys fighting to keep the doors open for the Gospel.

The Young Lawyers Academy also invites you to join a growing movement shaping the future of the legal culture. You’ll connect with Christian attorneys from across the country, engage with distinguished faculty, and participate in in-depth discussions on natural law, constitutional jurisprudence, and worldview development. Daily worship and devotions will reaffirm your calling and strengthen the foundation of your legal practice.

Important Details:

ADF covers registration, lodging, materials, and most meals for accepted attendees. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs and expenses for any accompanying family members. A U.S. passport valid for at least six months beyond the travel dates is required for travel to Mexico.

When accepted to attend the Young Lawyers Academy, you also become an ADF Allied Attorney. The Young Lawyers Academy is currently only available to attorneys practicing and residing in the United States.
